Welcome to another exciting episode of The Creative Marketing Zone Podcast! I am your host and chief creative officer, Eric and I am super pumped to have Danielle Watson, who is an author, consultant, TEDx speaker and so much more on the show with us today!
In our fun and informative episode, Danielle is going to discuss a buzzword that seems to be hot these days in marketing land, and no it’s not “transparency” or “authenticity,” which was so 2016 and 2017 I feel like.
Today though we are going to go over the word, “vulnerable.”
We are going to talk about this word and how if you play your cards right by opening up and sharing your struggles towards achieving personal greatness, you can greatly separate yourself from the pack and build a remarkable personal brand with an awesome community in full support of your mission and movement.
I do feel that if you are someone who is dealing with a personal struggle, and you have found a way to overcome it, then this is a strategy that can be used to your advantage – if carefully told right. And who better than Danielle to have on our show today to go over this important topic with us!
Danielle is the author of, Dear Self; I Love You! Keep Going! 365 Inspiring Notes from My Bittersweet Year of Heartbreak and Healing, and in her compelling book, Danielle documents her transformational self-loving story following the devastating news of her husband filing for divorce leaving her feeling as if she may never be loved by anyone else ever again.
The book is a collection of encouragements she wrote to herself each day through her year of grieving to remind herself that she is lovable, and that life is fantastic, and to be brave!
Danielle is also a TEDx speaker - our first TEDx speaker on this show, which is super cool! I totally loved her TedX presentation entitled, Excavating New Possibilities.
Danielle cleverly spoke about The Purse Process®, which is a pioneering tool that applies tried and true principles of archeology in a fresh way, or as part of a unique toolkit that can be used to help guide women through restoring their core confidence, mentors them in reinventing themselves inside and out, and teaches them how to turn their personal quirks into high-value professional assets.

Every Tuesday, we release an awesome interview with a marketing guru sharing his or her ninja secrets, and on Friday’s I do a fun solo episode with some more awesome ninja tips for you to apply in helping you build and grow your business – and it’s all free! How cool is that?
And just to give you a heads up on what to expect for this Friday’s episode, episode 56, I will be going over the top 5 creative ways for you to build a good email list using various lead magnets. I will be sharing some examples of what works, what doesn’t work, the tools you can use and so much more.
Now a lot of folks know me as a social media marketer. But one thing I am a huge proponent of is getting your target audience off of social media and onto your email list to build a community of people who will be supportive of your mission. In my personal opinion, social media is an excellent networking tool, if used right. And it is a great way for you to spread your message and content to your target audience.
But to really get the most bang for your buck, and to really grow your business, having a good email list is key, and that all starts with having an awesome lead magnet – e.g. checklist, cheat sheet, etc. I will be going over my top 5 favorites on Friday, so be sure to tune in for the awesomeness episode 56 will bring.
Second thing today, before I have Danielle join us, I do want to let you know that today’s episode is brought to you by Leadpages.
If you are an online marketer, or you want to build and grow an email list, then Leadpages is an absolute must!
I have used Leadpages for a few years now and what I love most about using the platform is how easy it is to use their drag and drop templates, which are proven to have higher conversion rates. I also love how it syncs up with my email marketing CRM platform to start sending out automated emails.
I could go on and on about this amazing platform, but I don’t want to take up too much time. So, instead, I have plugged in my affiliate link here for you to check out the power of Leadpages for your business to help you build and grow your email list with relative ease.
Now, without further ado, let’s welcome Danielle to the show!
