And as you know, this show is now inching its way towards the two-year mark and I am just amazed at how this show has progressed since episode numero uno.
I often joke about this now, but I cringe when I listen to the first 30 or 40 episodes. I was a nervous wreck behind the mic, often times sweating profusely underneath my armpits.
But today I am much more relaxed and comfortable behind the mic and having fun. I have also made a lot of improvements to the show since the first episode, so I imagine more will take place as the show continues to evolve.
So before I give a quick primer of what to expect for today’s exciting show, if you can do me a huge favor and show your support by subscribing to my podcast on your favorite podcast player so you can be alerted of new episodes each week.
And if you can drop me a review on iTunes please do so! Reviews mean a ton for the show as it helps to lure in more awesome folks like yourself eager to learn some creative marketing hacks to help grow their empires.

Now guys, today I am super thrilled to bring on Liz Theresa of LizTheresa.com and host of the Liz on Biz Podcast!
You guys are in for a special treat today because Liz is not only fun to chat with, but also super knowledgeable when it comes to web copy that converts.
You will get to hear more from Liz in a few moments about her story on why and how she got into her line of work.
But to give you a high-level overview, she proudly works with entrepreneurs in personal finance, health and wellness, fashion & beauty, and leadership development to build the type of brands that are “so hot that they will attract leads like Taylor Swift attracts bad boyfriends.” And this is done by “creating websites that reflect the YOU of your business and use highly-converting, non-cheesy copy to get your target market to DO the things we want them to do.”
Not only does Liz talk the talk, but she also walks the walk. She’s been featured in major media publications, including being named the Featured Women Business Owner in WEUSA, Elephant Journal, nominated for a Web Design Award by FINCON for StefanieOConnell.com, Elite Daily, CEO Blog Nation, and more.
Liz is here with us today to dissect some of the most critical components of your website, copy tips that can help drive more web conversions including specific trigger words, and so much more.
Now, this episode today guys is brought to you by The Creative Marketing Zone Roadmap.

I loved listening to Liz’s story and her early ambitions in show business and how she got into marketing from her parent’s business and learning on her own.
The changes Liz has seen over the past seven (7) years since starting her company when it comes to personal branding.
The differences in websites in today’s age when it comes to brick and mortar versus personal brands. Personal brands don’t need to talk big – talk like yourself – who are you trying to impress? It's best to write in the first person like you are writing to your friend when it comes to your copy. Again, this is all about who you are trying to attract.
What to include on the About Page. Lull them into security, introduce yourself shortly at the top, “You are in the right spot, if...” Talk about specific experiences, problems, and thoughts you solve for your audience. Then transition into the “why.” Here’s why I know what you are experiencing – this is your opportunity to tell your story to relate. And then you can wrap everything up with a call to action.
Clarity over cleverness is better over time when it comes to triggering words – use simple words. This comes from Marie Forleo. Read back what you are saying – if you are using words like, “esoteric” then it may be time to re-write your copy in a simpler form. Use your trigger words in your copy as seasoning, don’t overdo it and know your demographic when using certain words. For instance, skyrocket and hacks may work for 20-30 years olds, but not for the 50 and up age group.
Keep your menu as concise as possible and call things as they are. Instead of calling your blog “journal” just call it “blog.” Keep your menu items to five or six – max.
Alright guys, that is all I have for you today. Thank you so much for tuning in. Be sure to join us again next week as we will continue on with some more awesome creative marketing ninja tips for your business. And again, if you or someone you know needs some creative marketing assistance to take your coaching, consulting or even your agency to the next level, then text the code word “strategy” to 31996 from your mobile phone to secure your spot for your free strategy call with me today.
I will continue the tradition of closing out by stating to go out and practice your ABC’s to success. Yes, always be closing, but also, always be creative and take action!
Talk next week.
